The great Anita O'Day sings Four Brothers with the Les Brown Orchestra and Let Me Off Uptown with Lionel Hampton. This is from a TV broadcast of 1958-9, so the picture quality isn't that good.

  • A peerless musician, a total original, hip as Hell and always turned out ultra-fashionably. Every album she ever made was brilliant. Miss her.

  • I agree completely...there's no one left!

  • The definition of COOL!

  • BEST thank you

  • Oh my ! Fabulous !

  • Yeah, the first set is a great Les Brown and his band of Renown on Four Brothers. The second set contains Lionel Hampton playing the role of Roy Eldridge, and like looks like Gene Krupa in back of Hamp on drums as they all recreate Let Me Off Uptown.

  • Take it brotha! She's way too cute here, so cool!!

  • Incredible movie!!! I had a blast!!!!! thanks!

  • They don't make them like her anymore. Only in the USA did we see this. Could scat with the best of them. A great ear. A great Performer.

  • She never made a bad song, let alone a bad album.
