I had the great fortune to see Dan twice while in college (1977-Nether Lands; 1980-Twin Sons). This song opened both shows, and to this day, whenever I hear someone mention his name, 'Part Of The Plan' fills my brain. When you have someone's music around you for seemingly ever, it's easy to take it for granted; I hope I did not take his music for granted; if I did, I truly apologize, Dan. Your musical passion is sorely missed ... as are you. Thanks for all you did for your fans ... and for me.

I had never even seen Dan Fogelberg perform, I loved the man on the power of his music and lyrics. It was by chance I decided to see if he was on YouTube and then I also found out he had died!! God, I am so sad today.

Dan was truly a musical genius, his music and legacy will live forever. May God bless you Dan Fogelberg, thanks for sharing your gift with us all.

This song brings me back to college in 1974 when I wore the grooves off this record. Dealing with prostate cancer now, I am especially moved watching this....

Thinking and missing Dan on this day. Looked at my framed copy of his birthday announcement this a.m. and could only smile and give thanks for the legacy of music he left us.

I was having a Fogel Cruise on the tube and thought I would stop by! It's been one year, since I was here!
I was reading aviationpilot comment on" no eden or heavenly gates". Dan was saying live your life, dream your dream, live your dreams, don't worry if there is heaven or not. To many of us live our lives for that one moment, which may not happen.
Love you Danny ! We miss you so much!
Hey VM - Thanks for sharing another great video and thanks for the nice comments on mine! The last time I saw Dan play, it was an acoustic set at Red Rocks, front and center. It was an incredible night that I will always cherish. He made us all feel like we had been invited into his home. Thankfully, his music will live forever! Take care.

Your welcome formb0. I never made it to a Red Rocks show, but I can just imagine. Wonder if anyone has video from one of his Red Rocks shows. That would be great to see.

GREAT NEWS!!! Dan's wife, Jean, is releasing a wonderful gift for all of us - a new song Dan wrote for her in 2005 will be available for download this month, plus a new CD is coming out later this year. Go to Dan's site to read Jean's new message - click on the News page. Jean has been amazing and wonderful! Thanks Jean! And God bless you.

Wow, thanks so much VM, you can hear the changes in Dan's voice through the years. Great to see samples of any video of him. The bass player and guitarist look to be the same guys as on the "Greetings from the West" DVD, if I'm not mistaken. Excellent.

Hey Scotty - Yes, that's Jim Photoglo on bass, and Robert McEntee on guitar. Mike Botts is the drummer. Sadly, Mike passed away in Dec of 2005, also from cancer. All three were with Dan on the Greetings tour. On keyboards here is Michael Hanna.

Also, we have Mike Botts to thank for the unique inside look at the 2003 Full Circle tour. He wrote a lengthy journal during the tour - you can read it at Mike's website. Click on the Library page.
Many thanks to Mike for that! May he rest in peace.
