"Poitín" (1977) was the first feature film to be made entirely in the Irish language. It was also the first recipient of a film script ... all » grant from the Arts Council of Ireland. Starring Cyril Cusack, Niall Toibin and Donal McCann, the film was written, directed and edited by Bob Quinn, and shot by Seamus Deasy. • The spud battle scene and garda barracks scene are my 2 favourites. Donal McCann and Niall Toibin were fantastic in this film. Great film....definitely in my top 5.
