Manchester Riot Police Beat Teenagers On Bikes 2011

A POLICE car has been attacked in Enfield Town amid clashes between rioters and police.

The vehicle in Church Street was pelted with bricks, while police have confirmed that two shops were targeted by gangs of people with hoods and scarves covering their face.

Rumours that riots in Tottenham last night were due to spread to Enfield were spread across social networking sites earlier this afternoon, but riot police were lined up outside Enfield Town station carrying out stop-and-searches on those arriving.

Trouble flared at around 6.30pm, before police pushed back the group past the Tesco store in Southbury Road.

Have we not seen enough now, so a gun with a gun shoots at the police, and somehow it's all to do with social unrest. Where are the parents of these hooligans looting enfield Town. I for one am sick of paying taxes do the likes of that scum can ruin peoples businesses and homes. I have no issue in seeing the full force of the police and law making a complete example of these animals

These people are scum bags. They are using this as an excuse to go out theiving. Draining our society and half of them can not even speak properly. None want to work. Line them up and effing shoot them.
Well, you guys may already know that the London riot has spreaded to Manchester, some where near the arndale centre. The riot seems to be out of control and spreading across the country. The polices involvement seem to have little effect upon the rioters or deter them. I would appreciate if you guys would update this thread regulary with the latest news about the riot. Tips on how to avoid the rioters would be great too.

100+ youths were throwing bottles towards a group of around 15 security guards who managed to keep them at bay without too much of a clash.

Fifty-five people arrested during the disorder are being questioned.

Clashes have broken out in Enfield, north London, where shop windows have been smashed and a police car damaged.

Riot police were deployed to the area, and the Met Police said "several arrests" had been made after shops were vandalised.

Shops in Enfield Town and the A10 retail park were vandalised and looted from about 18:00 BST and there were reports of two vehicles being set on fire.

Conservative MP for Enfield North, Nick de Bois said police had been targeted.

He said: "We saw an attack on a police vehicle. I saw it from a distance and that seemed to set things off to a new level.

Attention. these guys had just mugged some innocent people who were caught in the middle of a riot... they had violently beaten the guy (of the two people mugged there was one girl and one guy) and made a getaway on bikes. the riot police were covering this road when they were told that some suspects were coming towards them so they ambushed and arrested the violent youths on sight.
