To make a point on the Kentucky map, Mitch McConnell lost his home base of Jefferson County (Louisville) for the first time in a while. Historically, this county (17% of KY population) used to be Republican, until Bill Clinton carried the state by 3.3% over George H.W. Bush. His son, George W. Bush barely lost Jefferson both times, but in 2008 the county went Democratic by 13 points (about a 42,407 vote difference).
Look at 6:25. Illinois goes to Dick Durbin!

look at 4:47. Texas Blue!! (not for long) Rick Noriega was ahead of Sen. Cornyn at the time.
