Bangkok Patana School: Community Action Team - Christchurch Earthquake Tribute 2011

Bangkok Patana School's CAT Team Tribute to the victims and all those who have been affected by the catastrophic horror of the earthquake that occurred in Christchurch.
The devastating earthquake which occurred in Christchurch, New Zealand last week has affected many, not just in the country itself, but globally.
As an international school, we have a great many members of our community who are from or have a connection with the country and it is therefore our belief that in such upsetting circumstances, we as a community must come together to offer our commiserations and support, in whatever way we can.
Therefore, the Community Action Teams in the Primary and Secondary school, as well as students and staff wanting to support this cause, have been discussing ways in which we as a school might communicate our sadness for the victims of the earthquake.
It has been decided that a book of condolences will be on display at the front of school all next week, for members of the community to write messages of sympathy. There will also be a display, calling for remembrance and consideration for those affected. We hope for the book to be presented to the New Zealand Embassy in Bangkok.
In the meantime, we offer our sympathy and regret to those in both Christchurch and our own community who have been affected by the consequences of the earthquake. This is a great tragedy for the people of New Zealand and our thoughts go out to those who have lost friends and family in the incident.
