.....but you cannot love him,enjoy his presence, dwell in the holy place,see his face, be transformed or reformed, set free, or proclaim him as your king, IF YOU DO NOT OBEY HIM, ON HIS TERMS. therefore worship begins with saying YES to God, and NO to self. you can be thankful...but thanksgiving is not worship.

I disagree. Worship can be a performance and it can be a show. Not everyone feels emotion toward God and needs to find/have their own way of worshiping Him.

@AshotU You are correct that everyone has to find their own way to worship God. However, if our churches become more focused on the performance aspect of the worship, then something precious is lost... imagine if every time your children or your significant other wants to talk to you, they follow a per-rehearsed script. After a while the very essence of relationship is sacrificed and an empty shell of formality takes the place of love, communication and understanding.
