Amanda and Sam still haven't found Rachel, and Amanda is scared.
Meanwhile, Iris goes down to the corridor outside the boiler room, smells the gas, forces the door open, and rushes to Rachel's side.
Rachel hears Iris calling her, and Steve tells Rachel that Iris is there to take Rachel back, and that he will always be with her. Rachel calls out to Steve.
Iris alternates between asking Rachel if Rachel can hear her and yelling for help. Rachel hears Steve tell her he loves her.
Amanda and Sam are reunited with Rachel and Iris in the ballroom. At first Amanda thinks Iris did something to Rachel. Rachel comes to and says Steve's name. Sam thinks she's talking about Steven. Rachel tells Iris, Sam, and Amanda that Evan is still in the boiler room, so Sam goes down there and carries Evan out and back up to the ballroom. Evan is unconscious but still breathing.
Alice Matthews Frame comes in with her doctor bag, and Rachel tells Alice to tend to Evan. Alice brings Evan around. Rachel explains to Sam and Amanda that Gwen wanted to talk to her and started screaming at Rachel and Evan. Rachel doesn't know how they got locked in the boiler room. Sam goes up on deck to see if he can find Gwen.
Evan is surprised to learn that Alice is a Frame. Alice assures Evan that he'll be just fine, and helps him up so they can go out on deck and get some fresh air. Evan and Rachel exchange a look before Alice helps Evan topside.
Amanda asks what Iris had to do with all of this. Rachel replies that Iris saved her life. Sam returns, not having found Gwen. He did, however, call the cops. Sam and Amanda help Rachel up and prepare to go topside with Alice and Evan for some fresh air. Rachel thanks Iris, then leaves with Sam and Amanda. Iris tells Amanda she'll be along shortly, then goes and picks up one of the copies of the newest issue of Brava, which has a picture of Mac and Rachel in the center of the cover. She kisses her fingertip, touches it to Mac's face, and softly says, "Daddy...Love me again. Please," and then sinks into a chair hugging the magazine to her chest.
Up on deck, Rachel asks Sam and Amanda to go and see how Evan is, insisting that she'll be fine. She just wants to watch the sun come up. They leave, and Alice approaches Rachel and tells her that Evan will be just fine. She offers to check Rachel out, but Rachel assures Alice that she's fine and tells Alice she's glad Alice was there. Alice says she is too, then tells Rachel that she never really thanked Rachel for the beautiful note she sent when Sally died. Alice still misses Sally, but likes to think that Sally is with Steve. Rachel replies that Sally IS with Steve, and Alice says Rachel sounds very sure of that. Rachel then asks Alice if any of Alice's patients have ever told her what it's like to be near death and then to come back. When Alice says yes, Rachel tells Alice about seeing herself on the engine room floor, seeing the bright light, and seeing Steve there. Steve sent her back, she adds. Rachel tells Alice that she knows how it sounds, but Steve was there, and he was peaceful, and Rachel thought that maybe Alice would want to know that. Alice thanks Rachel for wanting her to know. Rachel then looks to the horizon and announces that the sun's coming up.

Thanks so much for adding this. Another World's history all comes together in this great clip: Steve sending Iris to rescue Rachel; Iris pining for her "Daddy"; Rachel telling Alice about her encounter with Steve. Too bad that NBC and subsequent writers and producers tinkered with the format and jettisoned fan favorites in the subsequent 10 years. This is definitely one show that should be revived on-line!
