Pugilism is theatre as gladiatorial grudge match in a boxing ring where the audience is in ultimate control. Two artists go head-to-head in a three round fight to the finish. Who will win is up to YOU! In the blue corner, Costas The Ox Constantinou, a new media and installation artist. In the red corner Aaron The Stomp OBrien, a physical theatre and dance artist. You are the judge, you are the referee, your verdict is final. This is bloody art!
Each artist has prepared an arsenal of deadly art works with which they battle each other and entertain YOU. After each round, you vote and assign battle injuries. These injuries impose extra challenges and restrictions upon the next rounds performance. The artist must respond live on his feet as his work is warped and twisted around him. As the injuries mount up so too does the pressure and the struggle to survive. Will you be cruel? Will you be kind? Who will win glory? Who will know the sting of defeat? Only ONE thing is certain: every night, every fight will be different.
