I am always surprised when people criticize actresses for portraying Jane as very reserved. That is exactly how Charlotte Bronte wrote her! She could smile, and laugh, and tease, but her childhood and eight years at Lowood had left its mark on her.

It is altogether impossible for me to choose my favorite adaptation of Jane eyre, but when it comes to mr. Rochester, timothy Dalton is defiantly the best <3

I love how she gently teases him but he is too busy feeling sorry for himself to notice. I love this movie!

This is my favourite Jane Eyre but both Timothy Dalton and Toby Stephens (2006) are too gorgeous to be Rochester. He isn't supposed to be good looking.

Эх, помню как искала этот фильм (давно-давно) нашла на кассете, смотрела её столько раз, что она зажевалась...купила книгу на английском и учила отрывки...чудесное время. Спасибо за отрывки из фильма Солнечная!:) Особенно за этот!
