Ailey Camp Miami 2009

A summer dance camp that usually takes two years to set up was created in two months by the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami-Dade, Florida and the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation. 80 Miami-Dade middle schoolers enjoyed the summer experience of a lifetime in this 4-week full scholarship camp through it's dance technique and confidence-building program. It featured ballet, jazz, modern and West African dance. Hear from the founders, Ailey dancers, teachers, parents and the kids how awesome this summer experience was.
