Dark Cloud - La Saia, Boss Battle #3

This is the third boss in the game, and arguably the most difficult. She's basically like the Vexen of Dark Cloud. Maybe they're related. Anyway, I did horrible on this fight. She has a shield, just like Vexen, that you must take out before you can hit her. I believe anyone but Ruby (the newest Ally) can take out the shield, but with the current sword I have, it OHKOs the shield. When her shield is down, Ruby is the only one that can hit her. So having a leveled up weapon for Ruby would be wise. But you can still do it without that. Her base weapon has a great Fire elemental power, so use that.

The most annoying attack is that she can freeze you. And if you're frozen, you're stuck for a few seconds. And she won't hesitate to attack you while you're frozen. I haven't come up with a decent way of dodging that ice attack. I almost died when Ruby got KOed, but fortunately I had one Revival Powder, although I didn't realize it until after I thought I lost. Oh yea, use those Stamina Drinks on Ruby so she does big damage. The fight is tough to start with, but once you get her cornered you can keep breaking her shield as soon as it goes away.

The beginning of the video is kind of storylineish, so just skip to about 50 seconds in if you're not interested in the story. Nice music too, the dungeon music here is great and calming. Also, this is the farthest I've gotten in the game so far, and since I'm in the middle of playing other games I won't be uploading another boss fight for a while on this game. Oh and last but not least, did anyone else catch the typo in the last minute? The guy calls the main character Toan, despite what you named him.

how to get yourself killed by La Saia: 1.Charge at her. 2.Get Frozen ball on you 3. use ruby's weak ring 4.get killed in 1 hit 5.use goro 6.try to break her shield 7.die 8.use xiao 9.charge at her again like a maniac 10.die 11.use toan 12.die :D

@cheren122 ... Your joking? 55 is strong? But, to answer your question, it is a Sax I believe. I have the Atamilia Sword with about 105 or 107 attack. If you grind dungeons and use back floors to their advantage (going in and then out re-spawns all the monsters on both sides. The second area (Wise Owl Forrest) usually has werewolves which pack like 40 abs per kill. This will level up any weapon pretty quickly however, you have to be very cautious fighting them.

One of the best ways I defeated her was, using Xiao behind the pillars and kept shooting her (Of course you may have to train a while to use Xiao), then her shield will be off, and its is good to use stamina potion while using Ruby and her fire element based weapon.
