A quick and easy fix to all oxidized and pealing Z71 wheels on 88-98 chevy notorious for bad wheel coatings. All you need is paint stripper and a power washer. This process is everywhere online but I just thought I would make a fast video of the process to prove it works. I have used this method manyh times and def. improves the looks.

  • Nice truck. I have the exact same one, same color and all. Love the lift! If you don't reclear coat the wheels will they shine up with some aluminum polish and is there any longer term effects of removing the oem coating?

  • @Wrongway1975 If your like most owners of z71's. some have patches of oxidation and blisters that cant be fixed. But if its like this wheel, just pure oxidation, removing the oem coating will cause the wheels to look like they have been polished. I would recommend u reclear them so the bare metal dosnt tarnish.

  • it has a 3 inch lift
