Month 1: Dr Whom

In early 2011 King Kong Company returned to the studio to record new material. Dr. Whom is the first classic King Kong Company track to get a re-edit. This was first performed in 1996 and featured as the opening track to many of their performances.

King Kong Company are an electronic band from Waterford, Ireland. The six members of Mark White, Tom Stapelton, Alan Aylward, Colin Hoye, Hazel Downes, Mark Graham originally performed together between 1996 and 2001. They regularly performed across venues and Festivals in Ireland with some of the highlights including an appearance at Homelands in 1999 and performing in front of 30,000 people to ring in the Millennium on New Years Eve 1999/2000.

  • Homelands 1999, Mosney Holiday Centre, around 2:30 pm i think, just got into a rainy and miserable site, into the huge Home Arena to be greeted with this song... Unforgettable!!
