but what justifies Alonso to win a title with 3 rounds to go?

@felipinhogiro - You consider the 2005 Renault to be the fastest car of that year? Hahaha. It was pretty obvious from round 4 onwards that the McLaren was a country mile ahead in terms of speed.
And the Ferrari of 2006 was substantially quicker than the Renault in the second half of the year, certainly more so than the Renault was than the Ferrari in the first half.
Ergo, Alonso has won two titles in slower cars.

i'm sorry, mate. i've seen schumacher, raikkonen, hamilton, or even button, but i never saw alonso win a title without the fastest car.

@FormulaOneFan4Eva I never said Seb was in the same bracket as Alonso?!? re-read my comment, i would love to see Hamilton & Alonso in the RB7, it would be amazing to watch, two of the best driver from this generation going at it in on of the best cars of this generation.
