Different, no one is better - viewpoints and experience of the listener however, can dictate who speaks to them the loudest... Bruce speaks to me.

I always default to the songwriter. Theoretically he sings it the way it's supposed to sound.
I realize that's idealistic, but there is some rationale behind it.
