If a dick-head jawing on the phone smashes into your car, carrying your kids it'd be no different than if they were arguing the progressive democrat in the seat next to them.

You are missing the point. Driving is a privilege and not a right. You, of course, live in Oklahoma, which is largely unpopulated. Even so, half of any population cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. When some dick-head jawing on the phone smashes into the vehicle carrying your kids, you might just reassess your point of view....
