The Dining Hall here at Worcester Academy, in collaboration with SAGE Dining Services, is taking initiative through implementing sustainable practices into its everyday operations. Food being central to our community and a common daily unifier. The continued support and evolution our of the Dining Hall Community is crucial to developing a sustainable community here at school.
Some of these practices are:
-Increasing the access to local foods
-Fair Trade & Organic coffee
-Biodegradable napkins
-Hormone-Free (rBGH) Milk
-Tray-less serving system
-Daylighting both dining rooms
-Exploring and enacting the process of compost collection at all meals
