'Wish we could see Jimi and Jeff play NOW. In 2011. Jeff Beck, in my humble opinion, is the most innovative of the "THREE" - Clapton, Page, Beck. I don't want to say BEST, just most innovative. Always experimenting. A restless man, but we're the beneficiaries of that. Rock on/jazz on, Jeff!

Ahhh, cute and funny.............he's my fav even though I love the other esp Jimmy Page's song writing. That is one very original acceptance speech, I love it.

@JerrySmith2 you lucky b*stard, i have the ronnie scott's dvd, but i would have loved to have gone seen him there. I'm going to see him live for the first time in October this year, can't wait!

@itsthemoman Why should Van Halen not be mentioned? He was a pretty innovative musician who played guitar just like Beck and Jimi. He played and people copied him just like the other two. He has his own sound and style and basically created a new way to communicate through the instrument. That sounds like he belongs there to me. Maybe you should go listen to Fair Warning.

@Gretschdrums75 van halen should not be mentioned in the same sentence as jimi hendrix and jeff beck!

@Pre00 I saw the tour when they came to my area. JB did the exact same thing to Stevie as well. If anything, they just both admired eachother so much and even goofed around quite a bit on stage. No competition, just two top notch axemen sharing the spotlight. :)

@JerrySmith2 I also just love Jeff Beck, he is phenomenal and a bad-ass musician/ Rock guitarist. I also like his "I don't give a fuck" attitude. But you are being ignorant by saying that Satriani is only 1 trick pony......

It does not get any more ROCK-N-ROLL than that!

lol
... And that's why Jeff Beck rules!

I think Beck is "better" than Hendrix. Not putting Jimi down, he is awesome in his own right. But Jeff Beck was there first, and I think Hendrix and everyone got a lot from what Jeff had done already with the Yardbirds. I don't believe in the concept of "better" guitarists---after one reaches a certain level, one can take his own road and accomplish whatever his nutured talent and creativity allow him. Beck and Hendrix both did this, in their own ways. They respecdted each other. Nuff said
