Just to keep up with things like this, I watch as many of these types of videos as possible: This is one of the BEST I've ever seen!
Thank You for sharing, and to show my appreciation, I'm headed to the guitar store on Saturday, and I will get myself a set, or 2, of Elixir Strings for my acoustic AND electric guitars!
-
I've been playing guitar for years but never known how to put on strings correctly and in a nice way! Now I know (never too late)! Thanks!

what about the trust rod not at the top of the neck? it's on the bottom of the neck?? how to adjust it???
-
This has made me to always buy Elixir strings. Same with buying Taylor guitars. Martin just isn't as up to par with their guitar maintenance videos.
-
super learning video of the best type. fast, direct, clearly educational and well presented!
-
20 seconds to tune the guitar... You're the man !
-
Is it true that you have to loosen the strings before you adjust the truss rod ? Mine is an Ibanez and not Taylor
-
After you adjust the truss rod you need to let the wood set for a day.....
-
Your tips are the best I found so far, but your tuning technique really caught my attention, please teach me at least the basic of that tuning. please...

Where can I get that spinning-tool to take off and put back the strings?
ChuiBeat 7 months ago
@ChuiBeat What you see in the video is a custom tool that Taylor built from a now-obsolete Black & Decker rotary tool. Threre's a similar attachment for an electric screwdriver called the Spin Doctor String Winder, and some other ideas were posted in the comments below.
