Nice. I might work on my leg riding a bit more this summer and next season

Leg riding is the only thing I can rely on out there on the mat. This video will help me a lot.

Greatly appreciate your uploading these videos. My kid is in his 2nd yr and leg riders are killing him. I'm sure after watching these he'll do a better job of defending and if I have my way he'll even throw some legs.

I learned almost everything I know about leg riding here, not to many schools practice it so it can be a real surprise I practiced this around the end of my season it was really helpful guillotined a couple people at regionals and after that it's all I use now.
i thought once his knees were down you couldnt lock your hands unless you were very very close to pinning him... please correct me if im rong im just curious because i was tought different

@semperfi253 It's okay to lock hands on the power half. The refs will always call locking hands on the top guy if it's around the waist or legs to stop kids from stalling. The power half is a pinning move, so it's allowed.

I had to revise a little during the season because kids kept falling off their opponent. "Leg ride 2" addressed that. Overall I just show the helicopter for kids to get the feel of things. I wouldn't bother with it during a match. A good wrestler isn't going to just fall over.

I starting playing with this at Jiu Jitsu and pulled off a few things from it, some arm triangles and got mount. I live in NYC and I can't find any place for adults to learn wrestling.

@dannielpreto That's a tough one. I have always used coaching to keep up with wrestling. Maybe find a local high school to volunteer.
