According to a poll by ABC News, 60% of Americans believe the story of Noah's Ark is literally true! How would Noah travel to America and save the Bison and eagles and yada yada? People who are that dim can not even figure out that Pop Tarts and Sunny Delight are bad for their health.

Nearly half of us are functionally illiterate according to some studies. Let's assume it's actually a third of that. This means 1/6 of us are functionally illiterate. Do you really think that somebody who's functionally illiterate can and will understand complex sociopolitical issues enough? How about enough to grow out of our current gang mentality we have about it? Red v Blue. It's like Crips v Bloods...and while we worry about that, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. We are dumb.
