This is my headcam video from the Quercus MTB trail (the blue route) at Whinlatter forest in the Lake District, Cumbria.

The video shows ALL of the single track parts of the trail, I have removed the forest roads as there not too long, boring to watch but are easy to ride.

The trails at Whinlatter are great and the Quercus is fine for most people with basic mountain bike skills, the full route is 7.5km (4.6 miles) or about halfway you can skip part of the trail to shorten it to 3.5km (2 miles).

The video was shot in June 2012 on a light sunny evening using my gopro with helmet mount.

Check out my other videos for all the trails at Whinlatter Forest.

Just showed this to my wife. It's so gently ridden that she's going to do it as you gave her confidence. Thanks.

Excellent :) it is a fairly easy route and can be taken gentley or at speed, the in between sections are wide and open, there are a couple of hills but nothing to major and a lovely open wide track downhill part.

My 14 year old son rode it without incident and he rides to school and little else normaly.
