On Thursday December 3rd, 2009 at 11:52pm several 911 calls were placed to Toronto Police Service by occupants of various apartment residences at the high rise complex situated at 30 Falstaff Ave, Toronto. The calls were in relation to the sounds of gunshots.

Officers and EMS personnel arrived to find Aeon Grant lying against the stairwell door on the 15th Floor with gunshot wounds.

He was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital where he died from his injuries.

This video of Aeon's mother - Pauline Sawyers was recorded by the Toronto Crime Stoppers youth officer Cst Scott Mills at the family residence in Toronto to appeal for information on the identity of the person(s) responsible for this murder.

Viewers are encouraged to share this video on the Internet, and to contact police directly with information. The police need witnesses to solve the murder.

Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers to help solve this case.

Information to prevent similar incidents in the future before someone is murdered is one of the goals of the Crime Stoppers program ("Trust and Text")
