PBR: Ghost of a chance?

Familiar opponent huh? That's the opponent from the previous video I uploaded, last week.

This is 2nd and last battle against Rai. Because he knew I used a Trick Room team, I had to adjust my plan a little, replacing Dragonite for Kangaskhan in this battle.

2nd battles against each opponent is without a doubt even harder and usually requires proper prediction to take the 2nd battle in your favor.

The Fake Out + Taunt or Imprison in some other cases seems to be tough for Trick Room teams to handle. Being unable to make a move in the 1st team can be a great influence in the entire battle, kind of what happened in the 1st battle.

I used Kangaskhan, Kecleon, Exeggutor and Hariyama. The opponent used Ambipom, Gengar, Metagross and Kingdra.

Awesome battle dread. I love the team still! Congrats on your win. I was surprised that Metagross used Hammer Arm over Meteor Mash, would have been better for it in the long run...oh well :)

@rprusty86 Thanks Russ. The only reason I could think of is that he was worried about another Trick Room. However, it would have taken at least 3 turns to underspeed a Brave natured Kangaskhan. Meteor Mash indeed was the better choice here.

They really need a gen 5 battle revolution already but I guess it's good they're waiting for the third edition changes like forms most likely

I just want a skydrop fix.

@ares5566 A Sky Drop fix can be implemented in a new stadium/colloseum game. Just hope that the developpers aren't lazy or overlook that, which isn't likely though.

Black/White has made setting up Trick Room just a TAD tougher too since Fake Out has better speed priority than Follow Me. It's a challenge to set it up now so that's why I haven't even made a Trick Room team for it.

@purpleone01 It's because of Kagaskhan's ability: scrappy, which makes normal type moves able to hit ghost types pokes.

cool match, but i have one question: how come return was able to hit gengar? o-0...i thought normal moves dont hit ghost types...was it because of the taunt, or did i miss something?...

They definitely won't, they had to ban it in the official tourneys so they definitely acknowledged it. Just hope no more glitches get created, Pokemon is a pretty large scale game now there's so much that could be messed up along the way.

I always panic whenever an Ambipom uses last resort on my Pokemon :'(
