  • Awesome song. Truly abysmal lyric timing. As a vocalist I object wholeheartedly

  • @ACWells13: And how would you suggest that I could have improved the timing, AC? Looks pretty spot on to me, and I DO only have WMM to work with.

  • where do u find this stuff ???

  • I make these timed lyric videos from scratch myself, mat.

For some reason this doesn't work for ol' Kiki. She's just one of those performers who ALWAYS comes off better live.

  • @pinz2022: I think you're right, but putting lyrics over a live performance would be extremely annoying. I try to pick songs with pauses of at least some length between lines of lyrics so as to be able to place something in addition to the lyrics.

  • 36 years later, this song is still STUNNING in its power. It starts with the rumble of a rocket on the lauchpad and then goes soaring into hyperdrive on the wings of Kiki's voice.

  • @LochRaven62 Only just had a chance to look at it again- some of the lyrics only appear as they're being sung, and 'When something gets in my way I go around it' actually comes up a little later than the verse. This is fine if you know the words but if you're trying to learn them this is not a good tool! Ideally you need the entire verse to come up about 1/2 second - 1 second before the verse is sung so you can sort out the timing!

  • ikr (I know right)

  • The 70s were the absolute best in music history! There will never be another time.DISCO,ROCK TOP40 Ruled! It makes me sad that we peaked way back then.Im glad I grew up back in those days! Today's music is absolute SHIT!!! Wish I could go back just for the music alone!!!!! KiKi Kicked this songs ASS!!

  • I saw Kiki Dee as Elton John's warm-up act back in November of 1974. She showcased this song in her set and she had the whole Garden (Madison Square Garden) jumping. I have always loved this song. It is so upbeat and it can even make the most depressed of people want to jump up and sing. This is one helluva great song.

  • A No. 1 song's powerful performance!

  • we have to sing this song for our school exhibition

  • thank f*** ive got the music in me.
