revox gramophone in action (Revox Plattenspieler in Aktion)

As I connected my old Revox gramophone (from the 1980's) to my computer I have a special drive now. So I can record my old vinyls to the computer and then use them on my MP3-player.

I remember this machine from adverts in the late '70s. But is that clunk-clunkity sound coming from the "arm" mechanism and if so is it audible down the line electronically? Because it was doing it during the playback of the actual grooves. Unless its coming from your camera? Just concerned

The clunkity is from the cameras objective.

Der Minidiscrecorder ist bequemer. Da kann man aufnehmen und löschen. Geht beim Plattenspieler nicht. Liebe Grüsse

Mit meinem Plattenspieler kann ich die Schallplatten in den Computer überspielen und dann als MP3 mit meinem Player überall hin mitnehmen. Als "Plattenspieler" im herkömmlichen Sinn wird er nicht mehr verwendet.

@xereniuss The first recording is Jerry Lee with Elvis. Listen again, and you'll hear Elvis come in after Jerry lee.

If you want awsome sound use this recordplayer with old cerwinvega speakers with 15 inch bass old as 30 years ,it still should beat anything you got now

I remember when that Revox went on the market. It cost a fortune back then. It's a very high-end model, even by modern standards. Rather ironic, your using it to record MP3 files. MP3 is about the lowest quality recording system in the world, sonically speaking. It's just a click above an Edison cylinder, in my opinion.
