I LOVE THE OMBRE hair color but I wanted to do a new twist. I wanted to frame my face with highlights instead of just making it look like the tips of my hair were dipped in bleach or like my roots had just grown out.
So I did what I'll call the "Halo of Ombre Highlights" around the face! So everyone can be glowing with their halo of highlights around their little angelic faces this summer!

It was really easy, really fast, and I totally did it all by myself.
Everything you need is listed on my blog too, with more details on how to do it.

This is a great way to lighten your hair color up for summer. And if you don't like it, you can always dye it back!
This is a great DIY hair color technique or you can describe it to you stylist at a salon!
You could also have fun and dye the hair after you lightened it for major color impact too!
This will also make your hair chalking come out way more colorful too!

So let's lighten things up for summer and give your hair a hair color make-over...and I'll show you how!

I would love to try this! Two questions: (1) I have light brown hair. Can I use hair bleach instead of hair lightener? (2) If I want the very tips to be slightly lighter than just above (creating more of a fading out effect), can I just apply the product more thickly at the tips, or do instead need to leave the product on them longer? Anyone with experience can answer :)

Hair lightener is the name for powdered hair "bleach". And just lighten the tips again after you reach the "middle stage of lightness you want" on the "higher" up part of your hair! And yes, you need to leave it on longer, just check it every 5-10 minutes to see how it's lightening!

I have dark hair like a deep mocha...could I use a regular blond kit from the drug store to make this light brown color?
