Stockwell Day says we need to spend 9 Billion dollars on new jails, despite low crime rates

Mr. Day seems to think that new prisons are a must have in a time were Canada has low crime rates. Oh wait thats right.. Its all those unreported crimes that we should be worried about.

Or are they expecting something? Maybe a mass uprising?

The trouble with Harper is he is counting low level cannabis dealers and growers as serious criminals and has put mandatory minimums on place for them. Meanwhile medicinal users are being not only charged but denied medicine. Front line health care workers are pushing cannabis and this regressive policy is going to harm Canada just like it has in the US where Mr Harper's master resides.
