As I've pointed out *repeatedly* to commenters of the "short version" of this video, the issue isn't so much *what* he said as *when* he said it... a mere six months after 9/11. And his reason for doing so wasn't a strategy, it was to redirect America's focus off of Afghanistan and *back* to the country he had wanted/planned to invade since the day he took office... Iraq. Afghanistan was nothing more than a "distraction" to him.

Old debt interest $1.4 trillion.

Bush tax cuts $1.6 trillion.

When President Bush entered the White House, the unemployment rate was 4.2%. His tax cuts were supposed to create jobs. That would mean a lower unemployment rate than when he came into office, if they actually created more jobs, right? The lowest unemployment rate President Bush got with the tax cuts was 4 months at 4.4% That is 0.2 % higher than when he entered office.
