On 19 January 1995, the crew of Bristow Flight 56C were forced to ditch into the sea, after lightning damaged the tail rotor spinning the helicopter beyond control. Despite the conditions, the sixteen oil rig workers and pilots were rescued by nearby ships.
What this means is that there will need to be more blood in the water before anybody wants to pay to fix this problem. This is disgusting. We see this problem. We know we have to fix it. But we don't want to because it will cost us money. We would rather you just die.

There's a history of not valuing oil-rig personnel very highly. Getting the oil's more important to some.
