The years of screaming so soulfully has probably taken its toll on his vocal chords. However, being in a band myself, I've always wanted to play Soundgarden and Audioslave, but could never find a singer able to do it. Chris Cornell could have made his songs easy to sing, but then it would not be Chris Cornell. Great singer and frontman!

Fuck anyone who says anything about Chris Cornell's vocals here: the guy is a fucking lyrical/musical/vocal genius and doesn't have shit to prove to anyone. Try singing the way he does on the studio version. Just try...see how stupid you sound (trust me, I've tried it).
