In 1978 Mary Vincent was 15 years old when Lawrence Singleton picked her up when she was hitchhiking to see her grandfather. Singleton raped her, hacked off her forearms and left her for dead.

I just saw Mary's story on "I Survived". I was SHOCKED to hear that Singleton only served about 8 years for his horrific crimes against Mary. Not suprisingly,he kills a woman in 1997.

I don't know if Mary will EVER see this post but I see a few of you know her so mayb. I saw her on I Survived! I was a teen in Vegas at the time, hitchhiking was the norm. I had so many girlfriends who did. I rmbr telling my friend who was going to hitch to a party to plse don't do it anymore, bc of "that girl" who hitched & was raped, arms chopped off & left for dead! Bc of Mary's survival, courage, & strength, she saved more girls than she will ever know! TY Mary! I pray GOD Blesses Your life!

@apureterror i was so horrified. it honestly brought me to tears. her strength truly gives me hope. i wish he would have gotten a worst ending than cancer.. but at least he is no longer here.
