It's about a 16 year old girl name Suze Simon who has to go live with her mom and new stepfather and step brothers in California. But she's a mediator, a person who communicates with the dead and tries to help them move on to there afterlife or where ever there suppose to go. While at her new house she discovers theres a ghost living in her room and she can't help but falling in love with him. She also has to deal with Heather, an angry spirit who committed suicide and is out to get revenge on Bryce (a classmate of Suze's) for breaking up with her.
