I couldn't afford the Beemer, so I bought a Suzuki DL650. If I get a promotion, I may reconsider the R1200R. The precision craftsmanship, comfort and handling

are hard to beat.

I just got my R1200R last Saturday - it's red. The bike is like butter - so smooth and nimble. At 5' 5", I got the lower seat with an airhawk2 air cushion. This bike is awesome. The video is great and even though people don't like the windshield, to each their own. I will customize differently than others and I'm sure they won't like certain items about mine either. Nice video.

Beemers are cheaper than harleys! Visit a dealer. I wasted 100,000 miles on cruisers cuz I thought BMW's were so expensive (and they're not). About to cross 100,000 miles on a R1150R - sweetest machine I've ever ridden.

I used to think BMW bikes were odd, but I've really come to love them and this is probably my favorite. I like the sound. Its not whiny like some racing bikes, its got a growl but it doesn't sound like a boat. German vehicles always have the best sound IMO. (I realize most Americans prefer louder than life, but I like subtlety more often).
