Winter does rock, I do have to agree. I like winter even more here in France. No snow FTW!
It's hard to get established in a new country. When Mathieu and I were getting ready to come here, we had a long talk about me knowing that things would be hard for a while, and that we would have to work on things. I couldn't imagine going it alone. But hang in there, things can only get better, no?

I don't know about Japan, but here, thrift stores around here are charities, people donate clothes, and but mostly crock pots, and the proceeds go to the charity. I've seen cloth consignment stores, where you leave your cloths, and when they sell, they give you a percentage of the sale.
