Added one 2GB RAM DDR2 667mHz stick, i had two 512MB sticks, so i pulled one out and changed it with a 2GB stick, so i have 2.5GB of RAM now! YAAAY :D

Downgraded to Windows XP Pro SP2 had the BSOD

I just upgraded the LapTop to Vista Ultimate, and it works just fine! With mine 1GB RAM I tought it will by so slow but it is really fast! :D

Does anyone know how to find and remove the CMOS battery out of an Acer Aspire 5920? It's driving me up the wall !!! (bios password has been locked & it won't boot up at all)

@stricera over heating problem, you need to replace or clean CPU fan, I had same issue before.

@pedromoratalla I wanted to get an upgrade on it but I was told the whole motherboard has to be replaced in order for the upgrade to happen. Parts and labor will cost a lot too. Better to buy a whole new laptop with all the top of the line stuff. My main focus is on high speed 3D gaming compatability, this time around.

I have an Acer Aspire 5520-5912. (Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit, AMD Turion (tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58 1.90 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM). What a piece of sh*t it is! I can't even play games that have high 3D graphics. Either I'll get an error message or the game loads but runs in slow motion and freezes up. The audio from the 3D games goes into a crackling sound and then the whole laptop freezes. The only games I can play are the old ones that do not require much to run.

@Decktrio no it keeps restarting every 10 mins. and when i play a game like minecraft or runescape it restarts

@stricera Are you sure it's not just overheating? Mine starts to act up like that (I would say about twice a year); then I have to remind myself to open it up, and dust the fan and the heatsink. After that it's always back to normal. I'll message you a link with a photo guide.
