George Galloway clashes with the journalist Edward Lucas (who was called a neocon) author of The New Cold War And After on the cold war. The caller lived in East Europe during the cold war period and tells his experience of what it was like living in these communist regimes.
Of particular note, Galloway claims all new outlets in the US are the same and the caller refutes this by saying that CNN and MSNBC are left of centre (by American standards)..

@AliceNchainz011 However, if a government interferes in an economy, that in itself does not make it socialist (a mistake @MrGilles1990 is making over and over again). Socialism does not mean involved in the economy, that is just a small part of it. In the same way conservatism does not strictly mean leaving the economy on its own.

@xxksaoXX You make a good point about socialism...its all about the degree to which the government controls the economy.

@MrGilles1990 I think you are confused about what it socialism actually is. If Neo-cons did want a lot of state intervention (which they don't) it still wouldn't make them socialist. The defining feature of socialism isn't state intervention, but restrictions on capitalism.
Corporations, of which many are Neo-cons do not like state intervention very much, but they will accept it if their buisness enterprises go under.

@MrGilles1990 No they are definatly capitalist, without a doubt. If you honestly believe Neo-Cons are socialist or communist in any sense of the word, I think you will need to take a look at a political spectrum or study Political Science.

@xxksaoXX they might be socially conservative, but their economic policy is definitely not capitalist.

@MrGilles1990 I'm sorry, but you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. They have no ideological similarities whatsoever.
A big state doesnt make a soceity communist or socialist. Look their attitudes towards the social and economic aspects in society.
