This was a quick tour of my perennial garden (and annuals and vegetables) that go around the outside of our pool. We live in Sudbury, Ontario and the video was taken on June 21st. I hope to do a few more of the vegetable garden and later in the season. I didn't name all the flowers we have but just ask if you want to know one. And I kept skipping over the large Phlox bushes because I couldn't remember what they were called. Many of the perennials were transplanted from other parts of the garden or from under where the pool is now. We bought some from a nursery and also from the Horticultural Society plant sale. I hope you enjoy the tour.

  • Very nice garden. What's the name of the plant (green bush) next to lupin?

  • @88Ont They are phlox. They just hadn't bloomed yet. JJ.

  • Do you mean the stuff growing along the fence? I have since purchased a trimmer.

  • This summer is the first garden I have ever started. My perennials are starting to display their colors. I believe I screwed up my sunflowers though. I planted 2-3 seeds per hole, and now they are growing into each other. A mistake I will not make next summer. But I planted cat nip away from the garden to keep my cats from gnawing on the pretty stuff, and digging poop holes in them. Its really funny to see the cats stoned in a catnip patch.

  • very nice flowers.i love purple coneflowers they are really lovely.hope everything grows nice.

  • nice garden, you've got great variety. My wife and I are going insane trying to pick different plants and placements for a corner perennial garden in our backyard bordered on two sides by a fence and one side by our patio so I'm using ideas from these videos!

  • nice little garden, nice size for easy maintenence! But the rest of the yard at 4:39....lol I live in Sudbury Ontario if you need a landscaper/gardener
