Most of the big company in the USA and in Thailand are not own by their own people either. Laos is letting investor in the country to set up buessness and that's Going to bring money in he country. Like how america or Thailand got started they got investor from every country. All the rich people in Thailand are from china or European same ass in America. Real American are poor or meddle class.

Those are some of the things that a country need to develope itself. I do not see none of those. It will give Laos 200 years to get to even half the level the US right now. I believe all the developments that people see going on in Laos right now are mainly the service type industry. you know the hotel, motel thing. These are really nothing. And from what I heard, the owners o these motels and hotels are not Laotians. So how are we making progress or Jalern???

Jalern lell( or developed ). As a thinking person, I have a hard time believing that. As of 2011, laos still cant make a simple copper pipe for city water system. Laos is a long way from having the following things: Advance educational system, educated population, scientists, technical experts( Scienctists, engineers), heavy industries( automobile, machinaries, steels), knowledge for making modern medicines, medical equipments, and so on. Sorry to sound so negative
