I remember watching a film strip (remember those?) at my Catholic elementary school and this song was the background. My cousin and I both loved it and mentioned it and our grandmother bought us the album for christmas.

Now really, we didn't know anything about other religions. We were in Catholic school, ffs. But we knew a beautiful song when we heard it. Maybe if everyone listened without tainted ears, maybe it wouldn't be so hard to feel happy when hearing such beauty.

@kreterakete I love your stereotypes about Americans. Thanks for the laughs. You must be thinking of rural Southerners. I live in a Northern city. I was once arrested for trying to smuggle books Down South. An ex-girlfriend moved Down South. She was very disappointed with the fresh produce there. She said most of the people still survive on greasy ham and fried potatoes. I have a lot of love for Germans. So I don't feel the need to insult you for your opinions.

@kreterakete I do not fit any of your stereotypes about Americans.I am sorry to disappoint. I used to believe in peace and love. Then America was the victim of Islamic terrorists. I live about ten miles (16 km) from Ground Zero. Bavaria is a beautiful state. I hope Germans are not naive about Islam. They are currently colonizing Spain and calling it immigration. Muslims preach tolerance when they are a minority, but force their rules on others when they are in control.
