Hello fellow BMW E28 lovers or haters if you have to do this repair. It's not actually very difficult. I recently had to change my fuel pump but not the in tank one. You all probably know how to do that one. I had to change the one underneath the car. Was not bad except I had to do it twice in one day. Hope this is helpful to all the Do It Yourselfer's (DiYs) out there. Any questions feel free. I've done the in tank one also but that one is pretty easy but I did not film it.

  • Thanks for taking the time to post this Bro. I have an 88. 535is.

  • @ruffd777 Your quite welcome my man. Your 88 535is must be sweet, What color combo do you have? Red over tan is my all time favorite, but it's hard to find a half decent one. Cheers!!

  • thanks, good video. I just did that job but I disconnected the hose at the pump.

I clamped off the hose with a visegrip, pried off the rubber cover and removed the hose clamp. other than that, just like you said.
