Human rights and civil society groups are calling for an immediate stop to the ongoing police vetting process. The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights is questioning the credibility of the process, condemning what it terms as the clandestine manner in which it is being undertaken and the lack of an avenue for the public's input into the process.

Always glad to see the KNHCR. Very valid questions, how does anyone know how the vetting is being done. Also, could we have police go back to police uniform, not military, so as not to disguise who is doing what bad in Kenya. I think military uniform for police started under Moi.

I agree with Muthoni. I even question the need for it. We should have that "are you gay?" lady come and ask all the officers if they are gay.
