EL Monte cop kicks prone suspect after pursuit -- A high-speed police pursuit shown on live television Wednesday ended with an El Monte police officer kicking a prone and surrendering suspect in the head.

According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is examining
the actions of an El Monte police officer caught on video last month as he seemingly kicked a suspect who lay surrendered on a lawn. The suspect, Richard Rodriguez, is an alleged gang member and had been in a car with another man as the two were pursued by El Monte officers. TV-news helicopter cameras followed the high-speed chase as the suspects drove through stop signs and, at one point, onto a sidewalk.

This scumbag didn't look away like he was told to and who knows if he was planning to try to trip the cop or pull out a gun from his waistband in the very last moment. You people babying him only do so after the fact. If this thug did somehow wrestle the cop, got hold of the cop's or his gun and shot in innocent bystander, you would all be saying things like "how could the cop be so naive in thinking the thug was really peacefully surrendering?"
