@helliott123 Yeah, he did, laid flat out on the track. hehehe

The Buel has a lot going for it, superb handling characteristics, low centre of gravity, and as light as the old Merriden Bonnevile.
I doubt weather any road machine would be able catch this beauty on a twisty mountain road.
After all, it's better to ride a slow bike fast rather than ride a fast bike slow.
As for the guy flipping a Buel and being filmed doing it, (***king priceless) :-)

the only jap bike i can name that has more torque than a buell in low revs is a yamaha mt-01
the rest are all stupid choppers/customs

Byeule41, I was answering another poster's question. I was not referring to you.

but who cares Georgenfla? you can only go fast if you have a 1/2 mile straightaway and are switching gears faster than obama can get a nobel peace prize.
Dont get me wrong, i love all those bikes too. but sometimes going full out isnt the point. i just like to ride. and i love the way my buell sounds, feels and looks. i can ride it through the tightest twisties or go on a trip with cruisers (and get 60mpg btw). chicks dig it and it makes me smile every time I ride it. thats why I ride a buell.

OUCH!!
Amazing how many people hate Buells, really.
I see too many people riding around on GSX/Rs, CBRs, ZXs and YZFs that will never take the bike out for a track day so they can actually USE all of the engine's abilities. The "big four" sport bikes are all direct take-offs from their race technologies lightly adapted for street use, while Buells were made as street bikes first. Top speed is about 140+ or so, but where outside of a race track do you need to go any faster?
