For those of you who have questions on Dual Displays for the new mac mini. Yes the mac mini can have dual displays. The mac mini has 2 ports, Mini DVI and Mini DisplayPort. If your displays have DVI you will need Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter and a Mini DVI to DVI adapter (Mac Mini comes with Mini DVI to DVI adapter). If your displays have VGA you will need Mini DisplayPort to VGA and Mini DVI to VGA adapters. Hope this helps.

  • you have nothing in your dock

  • correct, in this video I didn't, thats before I installed my FC Studio 2. I only like keeping apps that I use frequently on the dock. Also now i have the doc on the second display on the right side of the screen instead of the bottom.

  • Do you have the 256MB video ram one? I just bought a Mini 4 days ago and its the 128MB model.

  • Yes I have the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256MB of shared DDR3 SDRAM

  • Hey that's awesome!

I'm thinking of getting a mac mini.

Actually I'm a Windows user and I think this is a really hard step for me to switch to a mac!

Well anyway could you pls make a video tutorial on how to connect them and stuff! Very helpfull!

  • Yes, I'm in the process of making one. Hopefully it will be up next week.

  • @airsoftplayer17 its a really small mac

  • I have conected my samsung p2370h with the mini dvi to dvi connector and my p2350 vga with the minidisplay to vga connector but the VGA display wont work.. i've tried with 2 different vga monitors and nothing happens even rebooting the mac mini and leaving just the minidisplay to vga connected the mac wont recognize the monitor (just the dvi)

(the minidisplay to vga addapter was working fine and i doubt its broken)

    any sugestion?

  • @HotOffTheReel Get a new TV for you bedroom or just a computer monitor. It's likely possible to connect it to a SD CRT but it would be a pain in the ass. A better option would be to get an original xbox and hack XBMC onto it.

  • @airsoftplayer17 Go to the apple site

    apple(dot)com/macmini

  • Question,

I have my Mini connect to my HDTV now.

    (miniDVI to DVI to HDMI)

I have a CRT TV in my bedroom,

what adapter should I look for to connect the miniDisplay port to Component or RCA in on the CRT TV?

The displays would be set to mirror bc its an HTPC

  • What resolutions are the monitors ?

  • I guess I can safely assume that this one's the Early 2009 version because of the upload date xD

  • a cheap starter/portble media computer

  • This helped alot! Thanks :)
