technicaly he shot a 157" because if you entered this into the books the net score is the final score that is recorded not gross. gross makes it sound big but the net is what determines how special the animal is .

well...there's only been ONE eight pointer in the history of the world which scored more than this one, and I'm fairly sure that one was taken with a gun. You're not seriously trying to imply that you have an 8 which scores higher are you? Doesn't matter the score of the deer, the credit for the rack goes to the deer not the hunter. The credit for bagging such a rare and wise animal goes to the hunter, especially with a bow. You stick to murdering stupid small deer with a rifle there sport!

Nice buck. any buck that will net 150's+ P&Y is a trophy.

The largest net 8 pt is 184 and change and there are a few other's in the 180's and a boat load of 170's 8 pt's out there.

@VBGRIM first of all, i took mine with the bow not a rifle , it scored 153 but its very impressive of an 8 .! secondly you need to get off that high horse thare are big 8's shot every year that go into the 160's world record is a 180 which would make your 10 look like a puppy dog. i didnt enter mine but i probably should have would of maybe been in the top 50 in the state prolly.
