I am a struggling middle class teacher/ single mom. The first time I attended San Diego Occupy it became immediately apparent that there was a great discrepancy in what I saw with my own eyes at San Diego rallies and what the local and US media was portraying. What I witnessed was a highly diverse group of people who were intelligent, passionate, and VERY frustrated by a system that is not working. This experience inspired the song which I have linked to here. Artistic and time limitations don't allow for inclusion of every group who is participating, and I realize there is a whole world of people who are also participating in this critial point in history. This song is about this moment in time here in America and the American press. I hope you consider sharing your voice with this movement. And remember, .99 + .01 = 1. We are ALL part of the equation.
