@suiriryoku Probably because both Yakuza 1 & 2 are set in December, and this song is often sung by carol singers.

@suiriryoku I believe it was used to show that anyone can find forgiveness and redemption no matter what happened in your past. That no matter what some people can change and live their lives with a purpose that doesn't just benefit themselves, but also those around them.
