Imam Khomeini's funny statement on the refrendum night

Just few months after the Islamic revolution in Iran 1979, a referendum was organized to elect the type of the regime. Imam Khomeini says on TV "come and vote for the Islamic Republic, but your are free to vote whatever you want" !!! His party won the referendun by 98.8% votes in favor, something that is probabilistically hard to digest.
